About
Who this is for, and why a webring still makes sense.
Nyron Ring is a webring for computer science enthusiasts, developers, researchers and creators who enjoy building small, expressive websites that are simple, static, and thoughtfully made. It is a place for personal sites that reflect genuine creativity rather than a content management system.
Today's web is crowded with templates, frameworks and identical-looking designs. Nyron Ring aims to bring back the essence of the early web: unique homepages, 88×31 buttons, playful experiments, and ideas shaped by individuals rather than trends. Neocities pages, personal blogs and hand-coded sites are all welcome. Hand-writing your HTML and CSS is encouraged, though not required.
By joining you become part of a small, curated network of sites that value authenticity, minimalism and independence. It is a quiet corner of the internet for people who still believe the web can be personal.
Why join
- Keep the indie web alive. Personal sites are still being made. They are just hard to find. A ring makes them findable.
- Meet people, not accounts. Everyone here chose to build something by hand. That is a decent filter for interesting company.
- Traffic that isn't owned. Visitors arrive from a neighbour's site, not from a platform deciding what you deserve.
- Resist the sameness. Every member site looks different, because a person made each one for themselves.
